This week Silver Falls School District would like to celebrate and honor our School Psychologist, Jennifer Bingham. Jennifer is currently in her 9th year of providing a multitude of student and staff support services to our district. She offers insights in the areas of learning, behavior, mental health, and school systems.
In Oregon and around the nation, School Psychologists serve in schools and other educational and clinical settings. In Silver Falls School district, Jennifer supports students through evaluations, assessments, and data analysis. The data she collects provides critical consultation with families, teachers and district staff to create and improve supports for students. Jennifer is a key member in many building and district-level teams supporting diverse learners, student achievement, safe and supportive learning environments, and school-wide/district-wide data-driven decision making.
In addition to her district-wide duties, Jennifer also continues to develop her professional skills by attending professional development provided by the National Association of School Psychologists. She is an active member of the Traumatic Brain Team with the Willamette Education Service District, she meets regularly with other local School Psychologists to collaborate and discuss current school related issues and is a part of the district’s crisis response team.
In a typical school year, Jennifer evaluates and provides support for as many as 100 students in the district. Jennifer’s ability to support a wide range of students and build trusting and supportive relationships with students, families, and staff make her a highly valued member of our SFSD staff.
Thank you Jennifer for the excellent services you provide our district!
