The Mark Twain Middle School team has been working hard to plan and prepare for their upcoming move and expansion next year. The school will be moving to the site of the former Schlador Street School and will be renamed Silverton Middle School. With construction on the new campus just around the corner, there is much work to be done.
“Our middle school team has been exceptionally thoughtful and engaged in planning for the transition,” said SFSD Superintendent Andy Bellando. “These big changes are not always easy, but everyone has stepped up.”
The move includes the expansion of the middle school program to sixth grade. Staff plan on creating a welcoming environment for the school’s youngest students.
“We’re really working to make this a positive experience for everyone,” said Mark Twain Principal Nancy Griffith.
