The District is moving forward with construction planning to support the relocation of Eugene Field School students. With continued input from specialists and District staff, architectural firm DOWA – IBI Group has been selected to help refine plans to develop the use of Schlador Street School for students in grades 6, 7 and 8 and Community Roots Charter School.
According to Superintendent Andy Bellando, the board and public will see design concepts by the end of the spring and community members should expect to see some activity on the Schlador campus soon. The first step is to begin removal of the former agricultural/industrial arts building.
“The planning process is very important so we’re approaching this thoughtfully, with expert guidance,” said Bellando. “We have been grateful to local community members for their input and support on the project. Continued public input is encouraged. We’re looking forward to providing improved facilities for our students.”
